A pretty unspectacular update this time. More of a post to document the completion of more figures than anything else. I’ve just finished the last of these eight archers to form either a bunch of archers in LotR SBG, or a troop of Kingdoms of Men archers in my Gondor/Minas Tirith army for Kings of War.
No need for commentary or musings of paint descriptions. I’ve painted a pile of these guys and I’ve got another pile still to paint. Job’s a good-enough-‘un, so these few are now done and dusted!
Another month’s tally done (just). Now onto March’s units!
Very tidy sir. If only they came with tiny little bowstrings hehe

Thanks mate! Some people do go that far, but it’s more dedication than I’ve got myself. 😉

Really? I’ll have to google image that. I wouldn’t donit. I don’t see why they can’t have very thin plastic bowstrings already? Just like the old plastic Indians I used to play with as a kid.

I really like these guys – maybe they’re not as spectacular as you’d like, but they certainly contribute to something spectacular overall 🙂

You’ve nailed it there really. These guys are individually bland, but they make up a small part of a much larger whole when seen on the table en masse.

I like that there’s some variety of poses with them – to break up the similarity that their armour gives them. Nicely done!

Very nice work on the metal. You achieved a nicely muted realistic result.

Thanks, it’s a very simple technique I use. Mostly using the Army Painter dark tone wash over 2 layers of metal. And then a little touch up when needed.
